Melis Ata

Operations | Venture Fellow

Melis Ata is a Bioengineering student at Stanford University with a mission to develop innovative therapeutics and drug discovery approaches for cancer and neurological diseases. At the Zhang Lab within Stanford School of Medicine, she conducts research on ctDNA-based diagnostic methods for acute myeloid leukemia (AML). She also contributes to sustainability research at the Majumdar Lab, working on projects focused on reducing methane emissions. In addition, Melis is the co-founder of Charify, a startup developing solutions to address heavy metal pollution, and serves as the UNICEF Generation Unlimited Türkiye Youth Representative.
